Our History

Bishop T. Wright Johnson had a dream of having a church in the heart of South Dallas to reach out to the people in that community. Not only to provide a place of worship, but to offer assistance in a time of need. In April 1982, with only eleven members, the doors of Apostolic Pentecostal Assembly were opened. Since that time, the church has grown spiritually and increased in numbers.

Bishop Johnson has a sincere desire to see souls saved and under his ministry numerous people have been baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost. Our future goals are to establish a storehouse, feed the poor, to provide shelter for the homeless, transportation to and from church, a center for senior citizens, a freedom house, tutoring services and an outreach ministry for the youth and foreign mission.
